Kerja is for work. Here’s what we promise, and how the app keeps it.
It’s not a dating app. By design.
No swiping, no hearts, no matches, no ages, no “online now”, no feed, no follower counts, and one photo. What isn’t there can’t be misused. Kerja is for meeting the people you build with.
You decide who reaches you.
- Choose who can send you requests: everyone, people you’ve worked with, or nobody new.
- “Not now” is private. The sender is never told.
- Hide which café you’re at, or hide from “Who’s here”.
- Your next city shows only to your connections, and only if you want.
- Block anyone, and you stop seeing each other at once.
Where you are stays on your phone.
Your phone checks that you’re at the café.
Kerja never stores or sends your position.
Kerja only knows the café where you work or check in, or the area you pick.
Other members see when you’ll leave, never when you arrived.
Safety, with a person behind it.
- Everyone accepts the rules before using Kerja: zero tolerance for harassment, hate, sexual content, spam and scams.
- Kerja refuses offensive words.
- Report and Block are on every profile and in chat.
- A person reviews every report within 24 hours.
- A banned member disappears for everyone at once, and can’t come back with the same email, Apple or Google account.
Your data stays yours.
- No ads. We never sell your data. No tracking across other apps.
- Notifications never show what people write.
- Delete your account any time, in the app: your profile, photos and messages go at once. Reports are kept for a year, for safety.
- This website has no analytics and no cookies.
Meeting in real life.
Sessions happen in public cafés. Leave whenever you want: “Can’t make it” means you never have to explain. Tell someone where you’re going, and trust your judgment. In an emergency in Indonesia, call 112.
